Will Roku work with my tv that is an older smart tv
2023年6月26日 · It works on my 2008 TV. Is yours older than that? Does it have an HDMI port? Adding a Roku to a TV is just like adding any other device (Blu ray, DVD, cable box etc.)
Roku use on older Panasonic TV
2024年2月23日 · No Roku I know of has ever supported 1080i. All current models support 720p and 1080p, and the 4K models support 2160p. I had an older Panasonic plasma (ST30, 1080p) and it worked just fine with my Roku players at the time. There are plenty of 720p sets with HDMI inputs, so analog inputs are not really a sign the TV will not support a Roku.

2021年12月12日 · I also am able to use the old Sharp Roku TV remote to get back to the main TV menu to access my OTA connection and the TV settings. This is good. The only minor odd thing is when I turn off the TV with the new Ultra remote, the Ultra stays on, unlike the Ultra on another non-Roku TV that I have.

There are also even older models with composite, but in the streaming world, 5 years old seems plenty old already.

2020年6月5日 · You do not use a USB port, all roku connect to tv's via HDMI input. If your tv doesn't have HDMI input, you'll need an older roku model like 2018 express plus 3910x, it has av port to connect to RCA inputs on older tv's. That was the last model to include analog outputs.

The TV can only display images in the set's native resolution, so it will take whatever signal it is fed and up- or down-convert it to that resolution. Most sets do a good job of this, but some are better than others.
