Rent Gaps between north and south smallest for over a decade
The gap between rents in the North and South of England has closed to its smallest level since at least 2013. Lettings agency Hamptons – which has records going back only to 2013 – says that last month the average new tenancy in the South of England cost £1,318 pcm, some 37% more than in the North of England where rents averaged £960 pcm.
