Rulers and Guides - Sketchbook
Need help drawing a straight line, circle, ellipse, or curve? These guides can be found in the toolbar. Ruler; Curved Ruler; Ellipse; French Curve (only in Sketchbook Pro on desktop) Ruler. Use to create a perfect line anywhere on the canvas, by moving and repositioning the ruler. Did you know you don't have to draw directly over the ruler?

Steady and Predictive Stroke - Sketchbook
Use Steady Stroke to draw smoother strokes. Think of Steady Stroke like painting with a brush that has long bristles. The longer the bristles are, the steadier the stroke is in the direction you are 'pulling', producing a smoother stroke overall.
Shape Tools - Sketchbook
In Sketchbook, Draw Style tools are there to help you create shapes such as ovals, circles, rectangles, and lines. Using Shape tools in Sketchbook Pro for desktop. In the toolbar, tap a Draw Style tool to help create shapes and lay down lines. Lines. Use to draw lines. To change the size of the line, increase or decrease the size of your brush.
Importing images - Sketchbook
Importing an image to an existing canvas. Import Image takes an image from your camera or device and adds it to a new layer, above the active layer. In the toolbar, Import Image. Select an image for import from either somewhere on your device or using your camera.
Time-lapse recording - Sketchbook
Time-lapse recording captures a movie and saves it to your Photos. As you work, it captures frames only when you are drawing. Every 16 frames captured, gives you one second of footage. As you draw, if you zoom in to do detailed work, the recording catches it.

Sketchbook Pro 9.0 brings a large number of new features and updates to the app. Those who have used Sketchbook for a while will be happy to find some of their feature requests included in this release.
Hiding the UI while you draw - Sketchbook
