The new version is a cloud/subscription, which I do not like, so I'm going to try this package. Can anyone give me a rough idea about the transition process - difficulty, what to look out for, etc.?

2014年8月22日 · Cotations aren’t exported in GIS, they are kept only with georeferenced DXF. * Drawing all kind of land subdivision for government agencies. * Drawing transport networks maps. The FreeCAD Spatial Manager workbench would draw in 2D only for the beginning. That would make easier to export to a GIS software as well.

2020年8月30日 · I am familiar with inserting one AutoCAD drawing into another as a block and positioning it as required. one of the external workbenches at this point in time. I plan to use assembly4 eventually. I believe a FreeCAD drawing cannot have more than one 3D part at a time. a separate FC drawing.

2019年10月13日 · FreeCAD does not convert things. You need to draw your floor plan, and from it, you generate the 3D objects. If you import the floor plan, then you can use it as reference to draw the 2D geometry that will be extruded into 3D shapes. Again, see tutorials and video tutorials explanations on how that works.

2021年1月11日 · You have first to create 3D drawings and then import them into TechDraw which makes very good 2D drawings out of 3D objects. You can trick FreeCAD to do very good 2D drawings, by making 2D sketeches in 3D and importing them into TechDraw. Today, when doing simple 2D drawings, I use LibreOffice Draw, which is the best 2D drawing program I found.
