VIDEO: The chances of a half-percentage point interest rate cut by the Bank of Canada became more likely Tuesday after Statistics Canada reported annual inflation fell to 1.6 per cent in September.
The rate of Consumer Prices Index inflation decreased to 1.7% in September from 2.2% in August, marking the first time it has fallen below the 2% target for over three years.
