Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and adidas helped unveil Texas Tech's new alternate football uniforms.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - adidas and Patrick Mahomes today unveiled a new Texas Tech football uniform that features Mahomes’ signature “Gladiator” logo — one of the first times in history that an athlete’s personal brand has been included in official on-field apparel.

Texas Tech has a storied football program, but few players have done as much to raise its profile as three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. And his alma mater has honored him with a special uniform this year.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders unveiled uniforms Thursday that include the signature "Gladiator" logo of Patrick Mahomes. The helmet, logos and numbers of the dark gray look, called "Mahomes Strategy," are displayed in metallic film.

Texas Tech will wear special uniforms featuring former quarterback Patrick Mahomes' "Gladiator" brand logo as part of their partnership with adidas for the team's Nov. 9 game against Colorado. This is one of the first times in college football history that an athlete's personal brand has been represented on an on-field uniform.
